Gladys Goldsmith

Gladys GoldsmithYou're old only when you stop playing.

Hello - my name is Gladys Goldsmith. I'm 86 years old. I love life. And I intend to be here for a long, long time.

I'm so happy that God gave me the talent to play the piano. I entertain people at various clubs and manors. In fact, I do a lot of volunteer work there. We have a lot of fun.

Sure, I've had two years of bad luck. A couple of hip operations and that unfortunate thing called cancer. But I don't think I would be living if it weren't for United Way.

When I got back from the hospital, I was in extreme need of care at home. But thanks to the love and support I received, I was able to stay at home. Leaving home would've broken my heart. The next time you wonder what happens to the money you donate to United Way, remember me. It helps me live in my very own home and bring joy to people around me. Thank you. Your money got to me.

Thank you for giving to United Way. Your money got to me.
