What your money can do

children get help with homework

Your generosity does so much good for our city.

A small donation on your pay cheque - multiplied by 26 pay periods - can have a huge impact on the lives of many in your community. For example:

  • $3.85 per pay period ($100 per year) provides a hungry child with breakfast every school morning for a year, improving that child’s learning potential.
  • $5.77 per pay period ($150 per year) provides one hour of personal care (bathing, dressing) to six frail seniors, allowing them to live independently in their own homes.
  • $16.41 per pay period($426.66 per year) provides homework help to four youth once a week for 40 weeks, helping them improve their grades at school and increase their chances for success in life.
  • $23.08 per pay period ($600 per year) allows six women who have been abused and their children to attend an eight-week support group to help them rebuild their lives after fleeing violence.
