Local heroes
I have volunteered throughout my life, but then life took over and some things, like volunteering, fell to the wayside. Over the last few years, I wanted to return to volunteering and give back to the community is some way, shape or form, but wasn’t sure where to start.
The Professional Volunteer program was perfect for me! What a great way to utilize the skills I have developed through my years in learning and development by helping develop a Financial Literacy educational program for the community! I finally found the perfect marriage of utilizing and developing my skills and working with the community.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to work with a great team, meeting exceptional people and seeing my efforts helping others out. I can’t wait to seeing what projects the Professional Volunteer program has to offer in the future for me!
- Tracy, Professional Volunteer
