Host: Much Music’s RAPCITY host Tyrone “T-RexXx” Edwards

Tyrone EdwardsAlready a well-established figure in the Toronto urban/hip-hop community, Tyrone ‘T-RexXx’ Edwards brings viewers the best of hip hop and rap every week as host of RAPCITY. Tyrone established his reputation as “Canada’s Party Animal” by throwing BBQs and birthday parties, eventually graduating to producing and hosting events for some of the biggest names in hip-hop like Jay-Z and Drake. Tyrone remains true to his Torontonian pride, and spearheads the Canadian focused 1LoveTO.com blog. Through RAPCITY, he is happy to further solidify Canada as a destination on the world map for urban music.

Tyrone is actively involved in the community and takes great pride as a mentor and coach for underprivileged youth. He is the founder of Concrete Hoops, a not-for-profit basketball camp that teaches life skills. Tyrone was also a program leader in the urban youth-oriented Remix Project helping young people learn the fundamentals of business and assisting them in their educational aspirations.

DJs: Chips & Dale of DJ Floh Back Productions

DJs Chips & DaleToronto’s hottest DJ tandem DJ Johnny Chips and DJ Dale James are teaming up at Rouge to bring you a non-stop dance party with their mash-up style of DJing!

Chips & Dale bring their enthusiasm for DJing events to the evening with a wealth of experience in the industry, having worked with various other circles until settling down with DJ Floh Back Productions.

Johnny spent most of his summer DJing club tracks at the Polson Pier poolside, while Dale was working the private events circuit. Together they combine class and energy to create unforgettable music memories, crossing all genres and styles.

Performer: solo jazz and hip hop artist Dana Marson

Dana MarsonComing up out of Toronto’s Remix Project, Dana is a solo jazz/hip hop artist whose vocals and raspy tone have been influenced by those like Adele, Amy Winehouse and Dinah Washington. Catch her perform at Rouge in anticipation of her next release, which is expected in the spring of 2012.

Performer: artist, poet and songwriter Ashton Martin

Ashton MartinArtist, poet and songwriter, a versatile artist with tremendous respect and passion for word play and lyricism, Ashton has composed more than 200 songs that are waiting to be released. His highly anticipated mixed tape, appropriately titled Without Further Adieu is scheduled for release in December 2011. Ashton’s sound, with his clever, bang-on flow and verses that tackle everything from broader socio-political issues to the intimate thoughts of a young man’s urban perspective on love, life and the necessity of rebellion will captivate audiences for generations.

Like Dana, Ashton also came up out of Toronto’s Remix Project, an organization that receives grant funding from United Way Toronto.
