Join the GenNext Ambassador Network
A GenNext Ambassador is someone who acts as the voice of GenNext within their workplace and who has a direct connection with the GenNext Cabinet.
If you're interested in joining the Ambassador Network, let us know at gennext@uwgt.org and we'll make sure you're added to our communications list—keep up to date with the goings-on of GenNext, find out about our events, and learn about special volunteer opportunities.
As the Ambassador in your workplace we'll provide you with information and guidance for holding a GenNext-focused event during your United Way campaign, including helping you get a United Way speaker into your office, or getting a group from your office out to visit a United Way member agency. These are special experiences available to GenNext Ambassadors that wouldn't be available otherwise. You'll also have the opportunity to network with other Ambassadors – others who like you, are philanthropically minded and care about the United Way cause; others who are working to engage their friends and colleagues just like you.
It's simple: e-mail us if you're interested, and we'll provide you with some information and continue to keep you up to date with GenNext news.
A short FAQ:
What would I do as a GenNext Ambassador?
Primarily, as an Ambassador, you would act as a channel for information from the GenNext cabinet and as a motivator of other GenNexters within your workplace. The Ambassador also plans a GenNext-targeted event during your workplace campaign in order to educate people about United Way and get them involved.
What sort of help would I get as an Ambassador?
You receive a short Ambassador Manual, along with a training session or two throughout the year, and ongoing communications from a GenNext cabinet member who acts as your liaison. Your cabinet liaison and United Way staff are available to support you throughout the year, whenever you have questions.
I have more questions and want to know more. Who can I ask?
Start by e-mailing gennext@uwgt.org and we'll get back to you with more details!
