Leading Women

Early in June, United Way Toronto held an event to recognize and thank some of our generous women Leadership donors to the United Way Campaign in 2008. This year's "Leading Women" event was hosted in the home of George and Doone Estey.
Both the Honourable Deb Matthews, MPP, and Frances Lankin, President and CEO of United Way Toronto spoke of the challenges being experienced during these tough economic times. The continued support of our loyal donors was acknowledged as the key to enabling United Way agencies to continue their work, providing services and programs that are making a difference to the lives of many individuals and families in our city.
The over 120 guests in attendance had an opportunity to meet each other, celebrate the impact of their support on our community and share their personal reasons for supporting United Way.
Our thanks once again to our generous host, Doone Estey for opening her home to all of us.
