Leadership Giving

Change begins with your leadership

When you give at the leadership level of $1,000 or more, you'll be recognized in our Honour Roll. More than that, you'll make an even bigger impact on the lives of many people across our city. Look at what your leadership gift can do:

• $1,200 per year provides breakfast every morning for the school year to 12 children who would otherwise go hungry, thereby increasing their learning potential at school.
• $2,000 provides a job placement and six months of employment support to a newcomer, enabling him to compete in today's labour market.
• $5,000 allows 25 marginalized youth to participate in a 10-week photography or art program, providing them with routine and structure, a healthy outlet for creative expression and encouragement to explore their potential.
• $11,900 provides 16 weeks of computer training for 17 women who have left abusive relationships, offering them the skills to become self-sufficient and build new lives.
• $24,960 provides home assistance to 32 seniors, so they can live independently in their own homes.

The D'Alessandro Family Leadership Challenge Grant

This year, your generosity can do more...

The D'Alessandro Family Leadership Challenge Grant will provide up to $1 million in matching funds to United Way Toronto when you donate to the United Way family*.

New Leadership Donors

Each first time donation of $1,000 or more to the United Way family* will be matched dollar for dollar.

If you donate $1,000, United Way Toronto receives $2,000.

$2,000 provides job placement and six months of employment support to a newcomer, enabling him or her to compete in today's labour market.

Renewing Leadership Donors

The Leadership Challenge Grant doubles the increase in your donation to the United Way family* when the increase is 10% or more.

Increase your donation from $2,000 last year to $2,200 this year and United Way Toronto receives $2,400.

$2,400 provides breakfast every morning for the school year to 24 children who would otherwise go hungry, thereby increasing their learning potential at school.
